Footnote Pages on the Loose

September 15, 2008 by admin

It’s great to see people using the new Footnote Pages since the beta version launched last week.

Here are some Footnote Pages people have been working on:
Fairy A Spurrier
Henry Mellem
Jimmy Stewart

The feedback we’ve received so far has also been very helpful.  We’re working on a few problems you’ve pointed out and hope you’ll continue to send us your comments and suggestions.

The focus of the launch has been on the 80+ million Person Pages that got  a start with help from information found in the Social Security Death Index, but Footnote pages are a great way to tell the story of an event, a place, an organization or pretty much anything else.

Clio, our history maven, has been busily making pages for some of the events in the timeline. Here are a couple of examples:
Vietnam War
Brown vs. Board of Education

We hope that everyone will continue to use these Pages and send us your feedback so we can continue to improve them.

If you find or create something special on a Footnote Page, please add a link to it in a comment to this post.
